Comparative study of two combined blowing and suction flow control methods on pitching airfoils

چکیده
A comparative study of two combined blowing/suction flow control methods was conducted on the pitching airfoil using unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (URANS) method. One used leading-edge blowing and trailing-edge suction, which is referred to as a co-flow jet (CFJ), conformal slot CFJ (C-CFJ) adopted. Another suction with blowing, called reversed (R-CFJ). The S809 baseline its stall characteristic suitable for separation or research. Aerodynamic coefficients these were compared under no-stall, mild-stall, deep-stall cases. net gain output power also discussed if wind energy applications. influence mechanism around revealed. results showed that C-CFJ no-stall mild-stall cases, while R-CFJ case. Leading-edge more stable than when suppressing dynamic stall. will cause stalls it detached from surface, can block development placed trailing edge.
